BOOMTOWN: HIBBING, MN
The name BoomTown pays homage to the area’s rich mining heritage. Also to the hard working men and women, who only a little over a century ago, carved out the small towns with big dreams dotted along Minnesota’s Iron Range.
The Hull-Rust-Mahoning mine established in 1892 in Hibbing (below) is one of the largest open pit iron ore mines in the world, with a 1.5 by 3.5 mile footprint and depths up to 600 feet. It supplied as much as a fourth of all the ore mined in the U. S. during its peak production during WWI and WWII.

Great place, food is fantastic. Highly recommending this place as most places you will find around the area is you traditional bar food. Salads are solid but shy away from adding salmon. Dry, overcooked and tastes fishy. The tacos were amazing, try the smoked tri tipped street tacos. Put together very well and taste delicious.
Atmosphere is pretty kick ass in my opinion. Old building that was rehabbed into the brewery. The finishes are clean and updated.
Last thing I'll say is the staff. Every waitress we had was over the top nice and helpful with an opinion which I totally dig.
Very nice place. Great beer plus cocktails and a nice menu. I had the Chicken Wild Rice soup and she had the French Onion, they were both very delicious.
They take COVID very seriously here with all the employees wearing their masks.

Enjoyed a great meal here. Was in the area on business and was told this was the place to go.
Our small group tried a variety of items off the menu and all were a hit.
Of the sides we enjoyed, you can't go wrong with the Mac n Cheese here or the 3 bean dish (think bbq beans).
I'd make it a point to pop in if in the area and set aside some time to explore the downtown area. Looks historic and a great place to spend a day.
My son and I loved the place. Food was great. The burgers out of this world. Made the way you wanted it. Both of us veterans we got a discount. Anytime you are in Hibbing stop by for a lunch you soon wouldn't forget

Highly recommend!!! What a pleasant surprise this experience was this evening. I'm originally for Hibbing but haven't lived here in many many years. Going out for dinner wasn't something that I wasn't looking forward to but I was talked into it. The experienced was FANTASTIC and the food was DELICIOUS!!! I had the Walnut Cranberry Chicken with Brie which was to die for. My husband had the ribs - YUM. For dessert the Keylime pie. BAM!
Amazing food, amazing staff. Very friendly for out of town visitors. The food was very good. Ask the staff about their favorite beer, you won't be disappointed.
